Soldiers allegedly killed over 30 Fulani on Thursday. The Nigeria military on Thursday said it was investigating the alleged attack by soldiers on Keana Local Government Area, Nasarawa State. According to residents, the soldiers had stormed Fulani settlements about a kilometre away from Keana Town in the early hours of Thursday in a convoy, killing about 30 Fulani. Most of the deceased were said to be over 70-year-olds who were not fast enough to flee the rampage.

A Federal High Court in Abuja on Thursday granted an application brought by the Federal Government seeking a secret trial of three Boko Haram suspects. The three accused persons are Mohammed Yunus, Musa Umar and Salami Abdullahi. Mr. Yunus is a lecturer in the Department of Islamic Studies, Kogi State University, while the second accused is a millionaire oil merchant and the third an Islamic teacher.
