British boxer Amir Khan has talked up a possible bout with Floyd Mayweather Jr ahead of the latter's fight with Saul Alvarez. Mayweather is set to step into the ring in Las Vegas on Saturday for his first fight since May and he will take on Mexico's Alvarez, the WBC and WBA light middleweight champion. While Mayweather has only fought one bout per year for the past four years, with 2007 the last time he had multiple fights in a calendar year, Khan and his promoter Richard Schaefer are confident the undefeated 36-year-old American will be interested in fighting again soon. Schaefer believes the fight could occur in May, 2014 at Wembley Stadium in London. "Amir has told me he wants the fight and there is no reason why it should not take place, with Wembley being a very viable venue," Schaefer said on Wednesday.
