In 1994, the Guinness Book of Records set aside a separate column for the world’s largest cashew tree called Maior Cajueiro do Mondo located in Natal, Brazil. The gigantic tree has grown from an amalgamation of two genetic tissues. Such tissues allow the branches of the tree to grow outwards rather than upwards. Gradually, hence, the branches tend to stoop towards the ground and eventually make for a root. This new root further grows into a new tree. The massive tree occupies 80,000 square feet of land or roughly five acres. It is guessed to be around thousand years old.One can easily climb a tower to view this tree from a vantage point or for that matter, even climb up through the roots. You can heartily go and pay a visit to this enormous work of nature. However, beware of the orange caterpillars. These gorgeous looking insects are poisonous. The old adage “Just ride the wave” is not simply a philosophy for life, it is also a way of life to some. To adrenaline junkie Garrett McNamara that’s exactly what it is, and that’s exactly what he did. He rode the wave. He rode a record breaking 100ft wave, the largest to have ever been ridden, to be specific. This 100ft wave was caught and rode off the coast of Nazare, Portugal. It is believed that he broke his own record of riding a 78ft wave in the same location. This astounding endeavor occurred, January 30, in the midst of enormous waves swarming the coast of Nazare during the day. Had McNamara made any small mistake that would have caused him to wipe out he would have surely been plunged dozens of feet underwater and/or possibly smashed against the coral reef of the ocean. Police say one reading of Madeleine McCann's disappearance in Portugal in 2007 is that it has "all the hallmarks of a pre-planned abduction". Scotland Yard detectives also said they were looking at burglaries and charity collectors in the area. Earlier, detectives released two e-fits of a man seen carrying a child towards the beach in Praia da Luz on the night Madeleine went missing. But they have ruled out a previous sighting of another man by a friend. Madeleine, from Rothley, Leicestershire, was three years old when she disappeared from her parents' holiday apartment on 3 May 2007. Police have been revealing their latest findings in the search for her on BBC One's Crimewatch programme.
