Czechs, Croats in winner-takes-all EuroBasket clash 9 September 2013 08:10

Czech Republic and Croatia will go head-to-head in EuroBasket's Group C for a final shot at a second-round berth on Monday.
With the top three teams in all four groups set to qualify for the second round of the European basketball championships in Slovenia, Croatia sit third in Group C on seven points, one point ahead of fourth-placed Czech Republic.
The Czechs will be hoping Washington Wizards forward Jan Vesely can inspire them to victory over Croatia with neither country having reached the second round at EuroBasket 2011.
Vesely is Czech Republic's highest scorer in Slovenia so far with 74 points at an average of 18.5 per game, which leaves him third on the overall scoring standings for the tournament.
Bojan Bogdanovic, the Fenerbahce shooting guard, is Croatia's leading scorer at EuroBasket 2013 and is level with Vesely, while Macedonia's Bo McCalebb leads the way with 80 points at an average of 20.
Croatia last qualified for the second round of a EuroBasket tournament in 2009, while Czech Republic have never achieved the feat, since the current format was introduced in 2007.
Reigning champions Spain sit top of Group C heading into the final set of games before the second round and will take on Georgia on Monday, while second-placed Slovenia will face Poland.
In Group A, third-placed Belgium will have to overcome leaders France to secure a spot in the second round, while Great Britain, who are fourth, need to overcome second-placed Ukraine to advance.
Lithuania can clinch first position in Group B if they defeat fourth-placed Bosnia and Herzegovina, who need a win to have a chance of overhauling either Latvia or Serbia for a spot in the next round.
Latvia face Macedonia, while Montenegro will take on Serbia.
In Group D, Turkey and Sweden both have a chance of pushing into the top-three positions if they overcome Russia and Italy respectively, although it could come down to points difference.
Italy top the group on eight points, while Greece and Finland are on seven, two ahead of Turkey and Sweden.
Greece and Finland will clash in the other Group D fixture.
